Have you accidentally become the grim reaper of air plants? Fear not! The staff at Walden Floral Design is here to help. Air plants are considered very simple house plants to have around the house, but many people struggle to keep them alive for more than a couple of weeks. The secret to happy air plants? Providing bright light first and foremost. Second, and most importantly, infrequent care and deep watering. What does this mean? This means removing your air plant from the terrarium and submerging it in lukewarm water for 20 minutes every 2 weeks. Follow these tips, and you will surely have a happy air plant. And who knows, if you keep it happy enough, you may be able to bring out their stunning and colorful blooms. If you'd like to try out air plants (either again, or for the first time!), please come into the shop and check out our unique selection of air plant terrariums.
